Designer / R&D Manager

Responsibilities
- Supervising and managing all activities of the department related
to the development of new ideas for products/ trims/ fabrics and washing, in cooperation - with designers and in coordination with our merchandising teams
- Leading a team of 4 people
- Fabric/Trend research for various European, American and Australian brands
- Supporting foreign designers with Design proposals and technical sheets
- Researching and analyzing of existing and potential new suppliers (mills, garment manufacturers etc.)
- Preparing and presenting Sales Meetings
- Looking for new products which create new sale opportunities
- Attending trade shows and exhibitions
Requirements:
- You are experienced with European high value outdoor jacket brands
- You have a minimum of 3-4 years work experience in textile / apparel
- You are always up-to-date on latest trends in fashion and textile developments
- You have a quick thinking and proactive attitude, keeping you on top of things in a fast-paced environment
- You are experienced with Microsoft Office programs and the Adobe package
- You have great presentation skills and confidence in front of Management and customers
- You work in an organized and structured manner
- You have gathered first-hand leadership experience already
- You have an excellent level of English, additionally Mandarin, German, Italian, French, Spanish skills would be an asset
